      I would say thay applied mathematics would have opportunities in many domains.

      Yes, look at some of the jobs in industrial companies. One of the students that I trained is now leading data analytics at a major credit card company.

      I think that for pure theoretical maths, the options are limited, mainly in academia, however there are many positions and professions in applied maths, for example, accountants, IT, actuarial sciences etc
