I didn’t! I thought that I wanted to be a Mathematician in secondary school + university. Then I ended up volunteering with a charity and stayed with charities for about ten years. Then I started to get bored, my brain was looking for something else, so I went back to uni.

I always loved maths, and when I was in secondary school, I loved the maths of science and took both physics and applied maths. Ultimately I ended up choosing chemistry as my main field of study, but I use maths in my job everyday.

I did not in fact. Maths to me is a tool to conduct research, and I got to appreciate all the neat things I can do with it over time.
