Badal Mondal is the latest winner, after receiving the most votes from students! He wins €500 to spend on more science engagement activities.

Here’s what he had to say about his victory:

To all the students who asked their brilliant questions and took the time to vote — WE WON! You are amazing, and I’ve loved every moment of chatting with you about science and mathematics.

A heartfelt thank you to the organizers of I’m a Mathematician for creating this incredible platform. This was my first time participating in a platform like this, and if I had to rate it, I’d give it a solid 10 out of 10. It’s more than just a space for sharing knowledge; it’s a place where barriers are broken, and connections are made. This platform taught me that even an experienced scientist can stumble upon new ideas and gain fresh perspectives. It also reminded me of the crucial role schools and teachers play in building the foundations of science. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the teachers for your incredible dedication in shaping us, and now the next generation of STEM minds. 

What excites me most is the enthusiasm and potential I’ve seen in all of you — the next generation of problem-solvers and innovators. Your curiosity, energy, and fresh ideas are incredibly inspiring. Meeting you has made me happy about the future of STEM, and I can’t wait to see the amazing things you’ll accomplish.

To my fellow mathematicians, thank you for the camaraderie and shared learning. It’s been humbling and thought-provoking to engage with such brilliant minds — I’ve learned so much from all of you.

And to the students, my message is simple: Keep questioning, keep exploring, keep thinking, and never stop believing in the magic of mathematics and science.
